Minimal Roleplay is a role-playing service that assists role-players in all their adventures. The ecosystem is part of a dynamic effort to democratize the world of tabletop role-playing, by promoting accessibility and introduction for new beginner players. The leitmotif is simplicity, versatility, and connection.
Today, diving into the world of Tabletop Role-Playing is a real challenge. The goal of Minimal Roleplay is to provide the tools to play TTRPGs as simply as possible without friction.
Project Vision
The goal is to democratize online role-playing by offering a simple yet complete platform, where players' imagination can be freely expressed in a secure and welcoming environment.
Online role-playing shouldn't be complicated. Our vision is to create an immersive experience where every player can express their creativity without technical constraints.
My Role
As mentioned previously, I worked on Minimal Roleplay during my second-year internship. For two months, my role was to develop new features for the platform.
Based on features requested by the player community, I was able to work on integrating music during Minimal PlayByPost sessions, as well as the 2.0 version of Minimal Adventures featuring a new more intuitive and immersive interface.
Technologies Used
During this internship, I was able to deepen both hard and soft skills by working with Napi, an internal company technology. The main challenge was the versatility and rigor required to develop robust and scalable features.
